In 2006, Pluto lost its status as a planet. With no more ninth planet in the solar system, Pierre-Olivier is most distressed. Jérôme, on the other hand, wants to reveal his feelings to his true love while Nicolas and Steve are trying to decide upon a name for their punk band. With reluctance, Émilie organizes a party ... All in the course of a normal day on a small corner of planet Earth. West of Pluto depicts a day in the life of 12 suburban teenagers. Humour and drama mix with all the comings and goings, and the film tells the story of the teenagers' preoccupations and view of the world. A troubling portrait, West of Pluto probes the heart of adolescence, an intense and fascinating period of life where everyone is trying to find her place and find meaning in the absurdity of daily life.
